Short version: Jira Quick Launcher does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. No servers, no accounts, no analytics.

1. Who we are

Jira Quick Launcher is a Chrome extension developed and published by Trimtab (www.trimtab.se). If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@trimtab.se.

2. What data the extension stores

The extension stores the following data locally in your browser using the Chrome Storage API. This data never leaves your device.

chrome.storage.sync data is synced across your Chrome-signed-in devices by Google's infrastructure. All other data is device-local only.

3. What data the extension does NOT collect

No names, email addresses, or account identifiers
No Jira credentials, passwords, or session tokens
No issue content, summaries, or descriptions
No browsing history beyond detecting Jira hostnames
No crash reports or error logs sent externally
No analytics or usage telemetry of any kind

4. Network activity

The extension makes no outbound network requests of its own. The only network activity is:

Opening Jira URLs in browser tabs — these are standard browser navigations initiated by you, to your own Jira instance
Reading tab URLs already open in your browser — to auto-detect which Jira instance you are using

No data is sent to Trimtab or any third party. The extension does not communicate with any external server.

5. Permissions used

`contextMenus`	Add a right-click menu option to open selected Jira keys directly
`downloads`	Save your exported settings as a JSON file to your device
Host permissions (atlassian.net, jira paths)	Read URLs of Jira tabs to detect which instance you use; no page content is read

6. Data export and deletion

You can export all data stored by the extension at any time using the Export config button in the popup. The exported file is a plain JSON file saved to your device.

To delete all stored data, use Chrome's built-in extension data clearing (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Hosted app data) or simply uninstall the extension. Uninstalling removes all local data immediately.

7. Third-party sharing

We do not sell, share, rent, or otherwise disclose any data to third parties — because we never receive any data in the first place. All data remains in your browser.

8. Children's privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
